A notorious theif is after the Suzuki family's famous "Black Star" pearl. Conan's encounter reveals him to be the infamous Kaitou Kid. Kaitou escapes, promising to steal the jewel at the Suzuki Corporation's anniversary party. Conan can sense Kaitou's somewhere on the boat, but who will prevail, the Heisei Holmes or the Heisei Lupin? | ||||||||||||

Special Notes: 1. Kaitou Kid is of course the main character of Aoyama's Magic Kaito. 2. Kaito's appearance at the beginning, and being mistaken for Shinichi, is probably a joke on how the main characters from Conan largely borrowed their looks from those in Magic Kaito. 3. Just as Conan fancies himself the "Heisei Holmes", Kaito fancies himself the "Heisei Lupin". Arsène Lupin is a gentleman theif character by Maurice Leblanc. 4. Besides guest starring Kaitou Kid, this story has 4 characters returning from 4 previous story arcs. |
