Facing a rainy night in the middle of nowhere with a flat tire, our heroic trio decide to try and stay at a nearby temple. The head priest seems upset at their arrival, but when he finds out they wish to stay overnight, he's more than happy to let them stay. For a small 10,000 yen per-person fee, is all. With no other choice, Mouri pays up and they settle in to find that the temple is reportedly haunted by a Kiritengu (mist goblin). Although it's an old myth, it's rumored to have something to do with a strange incident two-years before. There's unrest all night, even with the monks who live there. In the morning they discover the head monk hanging from the impossibly high rafters of the temple's ascetic training room. Could the legendary goblin have a hand in this and the similar incident 2 years before? | |||||||||
